As part of a shared commitment to advance the health and vitality of the St. Johns River, Jacksonville University’s Marine Science Research Institute (MSRI) and the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) partnered to launch an educational initiative called Connected, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of the St. Johns River as a vital natural resource.
The concept for the logo was developed with highlighting the St. Johns River and the close proximity JAXPORT’s Headquarters and its Talleyrand terminal is to Jacksonville University’s campus.
The O in Connected encompasses both locations and colors are pulled from each brand’s palette.
